Srixon ZXiU Utility Iron – Second Generation
The second-generation Srixon ZXiU Utility Iron is an utility iron designed to offer the distance and speed of a long iron with greater ease of use. The hollow construction and optimized mass distribution allow for a medium-high launch, high ball speed, and good forgiveness, while maintaining the clean, compact profile typical of an iron.
Designed as an alternative to traditional long irons, the ZXiU can be used from the tee, fairway, or rough, providing a versatile solution to cover the most challenging distances on the course. Srixon offers it in 18°, 20°, and 23° lofts, corresponding to a 2, 3, and 4 iron respectively.
Hollow construction
The ZXiU head uses a hollow construction that allows weight to be distributed more effectively within the head.
This design allows for the combination of the characteristics of a traditional iron with easier launch and better stability on off-center hits, making the utility iron a valid alternative to long irons.
i-FORGED: the new level of feel
One of the main innovations of the second generation is the i-FORGED technology.
The S20C steel body undergoes the new Condensed Forging process, which also affects the upper toe and topline area. The forged face is also subjected to a specific heat treatment to achieve an even softer feel at impact.
The result is an utility iron that combines high performance with the feel typical of forged Srixon irons.
MainFrame iQ
MainFrame iQ technology consists of a network of grooves, channels, and cavities precisely milled into the back of the face.
This structure is designed to make the different areas of the face work together at impact, increasing flex and improving energy transfer.
The result is greater ball speed over a larger area of the face, helping to maintain more consistent performance even on shots that are not perfectly centered.
Tungsten weighting
Every ZXiU head features a high-density tungsten weight in the sole.
The additional mass allows for optimized weight distribution and improved stability at impact, helping to keep speed and spin more consistent on off-center hits.
Tour V.T. Sole
The Tour V.T. Sole uses a specific combination of sole width, bounce angles, and notches to improve turf interaction.
The geometry is designed to promote smooth movement through the turf, even when contact with the ground occurs slightly before the ball. This makes the ZXiU more versatile for use in different lie conditions.
Iron shape, utility performance
The ZXiU maintains an aesthetic closer to that of a traditional iron compared to a classic hybrid. The profile has been refined with a thinner topline than the previous generation, while still maintaining dimensions and mass distribution designed to offer greater confidence at address.
The moderate 4.2 mm offset also helps make the head easier to align without compromising the club's compact look.

Who is it for?
The Srixon ZXiU is designed for the golfer looking for an alternative to traditional long irons without necessarily switching to a hybrid.
It is particularly attractive for those who want an easier launch, higher ball speed, and good forgiveness, while retaining the shape and feel of an iron. Srixon categorizes it as a utility iron with medium-high forgiveness, medium-high trajectory, and high distance.
The 2, 3, and 4 irons can be used to cover the longest distances in the set, from the tee or fairway, or to replace the corresponding long irons.
Why choose Srixon ZXiU?
✓ i-FORGED – New forging technology for a soft feel and greater structural strength.
✓ MainFrame iQ – Greater ball speed and more consistent performance across the entire face.
✓ Hollow construction – Launch ease and stability typical of a modern utility iron.
✓ Tungsten weighting – Optimized mass distribution to improve forgiveness.
✓ Tour V.T. Sole – Smoother turf interaction from various lie types.
✓ Iron profile – Compact and clean look at address with moderate offset.
✓ 18°, 20°, and 23° – Three lofts to effectively replace long irons.
The second-generation Srixon ZXiU brings the technologies of the new ZXi family into an utility iron format, combining forged iron feel, speed, distance, and ease of use in a club that is particularly versatile for long shots.
