With the addition of two new grind types and loft offerings, the s159 wedges represent our most versatile wedge line to date, significantly improving on previous performance and expanding fitting options. Extensive testing with PING tour players helped create wedges that will appeal to golfers of all abilities.
The 8620 carbon steel head has a pleasing shape with a squarer leading edge, which is particularly advantageous on full shots. An elastomer insert behind the face contributes to a soft, responsive feel.
At address, the compact head features an improved hosel transition with consistent offset that blends seamlessly with the new Blueprint S and T irons.
The wheel-cut grooves are precisely milled to varying dimensions, depending on the loft. The 54- to 62-degree options feature closer MicroMax grooves. The 46- to 52-degree wedges have a 20-degree sidewall, milled to maximize groove volume for more control on full shots.
Combined with the face that adds friction, S159 wedges provide launch angle and spin control for a short game that will lower your score.

"H" or Half-Moon Grind: a shot-saving option for players with steeper attack angles who like to manipulate the grip and play with versatility. Works best in soft turf conditions. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°

"B" Grind: for a shallow attack angle and neutral face positioning. The low bounce design keeps the leading edge of the wedge low when squaring the face, providing forgiveness through the sole width to deliver score-reducing performance in firmer turf conditions. Available in 58°, 60°

“T” Grind: our most versatile option, allows players to manipulate the face to hit precise shots around the green. Ideal for medium to firm turf conditions. We added a 62-degree option at the request of our tour professionals for added versatility. Available in 58°, 60°, 62° (new)

"W" Grind: maximum turf forgiveness. Best suited for a steeper attack angle. Suitable for players seeking forgiveness in a specialty wedge. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°

"E" or Eye2 Grind: continues to be the ultimate bunker club, carrying on a 40-year tradition of helping golfers get up-and-down from the sand. Featuring relatively low bounce, it is suitable for squared or slightly open face shots. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°

"S" Grind: suitable for a wide variety of conditions and techniques. Designed with broad bounce in the center section for full shots, it offers versatility around the green thanks to the milling in the back. The new 48° option helps create consistent gapping to integrate with your irons. Available in 46°, 48° (new), 50°, 52°, 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°
