Logo Ping Golf

The Tour-inspired i240 model enhances our acclaimed Players technology, offering greater forgiveness, control, looks, and feel that will suit a wide range of skill levels. It's PING's best-selling Players model, giving golfers more control and the ability to consistently hit desired distances and stop the ball close to the hole.
The new 8.5g lighter ABS badge in the cavity-back design, combined with an elastomer insert, allows for more perimeter weight distribution to increase MOI in mid and long irons. This contributes to an 11% reduction in dispersion. The badge and insert contribute to a more pleasing sound and a softer, more responsive feel thanks to the 431 stainless steel cast head.

Technology

  • The cavity logo and elastomer insert create discretionary weight used to increase forgiveness, most noticeably in mid and long irons.
  • Injection-molded elastomer and ABS logo designed for a softer sound and feel.
  • 431 stainless steel head with perimeter weighting.
  • Player-preferred size and shape for distance control and maximum height.
  • More widely spaced grooves promote more spin from the fairway.
  • Tungsten weights on the club head tip and shaft tip to finely adjust the swing weight.
  • The standard shaft is the Nippon N.S. Pro Modus3 Tour 115 Stiff for its optimal weight and medium flight, which is preferred for players who want this type of iron.

SHAFT

PING offers a variety of steel and graphite shaft flexes to meet your needs and preferences. Choosing the right shaft flex for your swing will help you achieve maximum distance and accuracy with every shot. In general, players with higher swing speeds need stiffer shafts to maintain a lower ball flight, while players with lower swing speeds need more flexible shafts to achieve a higher ball flight.

The choice between steel or graphite shafts is usually based on weight and/or feel preferences. Players looking for a lower overall weight and/or a softer feel in their irons might prefer graphite shafts, while players who prefer a standard weight club with a stiffer feel might prefer steel shafts.

We recommend seeking expert advice to find the shaft that allows you to play your best. Whether it's a softer, lighter shaft with a higher launch angle or a heavier, stiffer shaft with a lower trajectory, a PING Certified Club Fitter can help you find the shaft that gives you more consistency in your game.
