Your shotmaking and confidence will skyrocket with the G430, which combines a lower center of gravity with higher lofts and a thinner face for increased ball speed and significant distance gains without compromising PING's renowned forgiveness. The distinctive PurFlex cavity contributes to our longest iron ever. Available in 4-PW, 45.5°, 50°, 54°, and 58°.

thin face rear plate

Increased ball speed

A proprietary heat treatment process creates Hyper 17-4 stainless steel and strengthens the face, allowing for greater flex, generating faster ball speed and higher top height to keep shots on the green.

Purflex Technology

An innovative new badge with seven flex zones allows for freer flex to increase ball speed for longer shots. Combined with a lower center of gravity, the badge contributes to the solid feel and pleasant impact sound.
position at address Profile

Modeled for success

The more compact shape offers a clean look. The shorter hosel helps lower the center of gravity and align it with the line of force to increase ball speed and ensure a solid impact, especially on low-face shots. A Hydropearl 2.0 chrome finish provides consistency on wet or dry grass.

Solid, tolerant

Tungsten weights in the toe and bottom of the shaft contribute to its extreme MOI, and approximately 1° of additional bounce ensures clean turf interaction and pure shots, minimizing “heavy” shots that fall short.
wedge high launch

Correct loft difference

The strongest lofts in the entire set led to a PW of 41° to ensure proper loft spacing between all clubs and, to maintain this even in the wedges, 4 models were made (45.5°, 50°, 54°, 58°).

G430 High Launch (HL)

The lightest PING Alta Quick shaft (35/45g) is a component of the HL construction that includes a 41-gram Lamkin UTx Lite grip and lighter weights at the bottom of the shaft and at the toe of the head, all designed to help players with slow swings increase clubhead speed and ball speed.

NOTES

  • Design specifications may vary due to manufacturing tolerances
  • Power Spec Loft is a suitable option for players looking to increase their iron's distance or reduce spin to achieve their desired trajectory window. This custom-designed loft configuration offers a calculated increase in power without sacrificing the integrity of the iron's design.
  • The Retro Spec Loft is a suitable option if you're less concerned with overall distance and more with accuracy and a higher trajectory for greater stopping power. This loft configuration produces functional distances for using a 3-wedge setup or a more traditional loft spec.
  • Bounce varies slightly on irons ordered with non-standard loft specifications
  • Standard swingweights for graphite shaft irons are 1 to 2 points lighter than shown, depending on shaft flex.
  • The standard swingweight for HL (High Launch) in the 7 iron is C8
  • The achievable swingweights depend on the combinations of shaft, length and grip
  • Available for left- and right-handed users.

PING offers a variety of steel and graphite flexes to meet your needs and preferences. Choosing the right flex for your swing will help you achieve greater distance and accuracy on every shot. Players with a fast swing typically want stiffer shafts to maintain a lower ball trajectory, while players with slower swings prefer more flexible shafts to achieve a higher ball trajectory.
The choice between steel or graphite is usually based on weight and feel. Those who prefer lighter weight and a softer feel will prefer graphite, while those who prefer steel will prefer steel.
We recommend a fitting session to choose the shaft that best suits you. Whether it's lightweight with a high launch or stiff with a low trajectory, a PING-certified fitter like Mulligan will be sure to find the shaft that will bring consistency to your game.

NOTES

  • Shaft weights listed are based on #7 iron length and may not match specifications listed on manufacturer websites.

PING offers a variety of grip sizes and styles to accommodate different hand sizes and texture preferences. Because grip size affects wrist action and therefore shot direction, it's commonly used by fitters to influence ball flight.

PING grips are color-coded and available in six different diameters; they can be further customized with tape wraps to suit your needs. Once the neutral grip color code has been determined based on hand measurements, golfers can consider smaller diameter grips to help control fades and slices, or larger diameter grips to help control draws and hooks.
