The ChipR Le is a short game solution designed exclusively for women, combining elements of the putter and wedge to help female golfers improve their performance on the green. It joins the ChipR, introduced in 2022, in PING's portfolio of clubs designed to improve the short game of golfers of all levels.
The investment-cast 431 stainless steel head is inspired by the PING Chipo, introduced by PING founder Karsten Solheim in the late 1970s for golfers who were unfamiliar with a traditional wedge and often struggled on the green.
With the length of a putter (34") and a loft closer to a 9 iron (38.5°), the ChipR Le is designed to be used on shots 40 yards or less around the green with a putting-like stroke , resulting in bump-and-run style shots that provide the distance control and consistency needed for shorter putts.
The compact dimensions and shallow face of the ChipR Le combine with the domed outsole to optimize performance and offer versatility from various terrain types. Precision-milled MicroMax grooves deliver consistent, predictable trajectories for improved control.
