OZ.1i HS
It has the shaft in the heel. It's still LAB
Heel-shaft putters have been around forever. There is no reason why they shouldn't be balanced. The OZ.1i HS is the latest chapter in our mission to help every golfer putt better.
We couldn't just fit a heel shaft on any LAB model. Golf and consider it a child's play. The Lie Angle Balance must be extremely precise and the geometry of the head plays a fundamental role. We chose the OZ.1i frame because it was the best solution for making a putter like this while maintaining the philosophy of LAB Golf putters.
It's strange that it doesn't seem strange
The OZ.1i HS is constructed with the same aluminum body and cold-milled stainless steel insert as the original OZ.1i. The difference lies in the RISER, a proprietary aluminum hosel (located in the heel, by the way) that ensures the balance of the lean angle. The result is a putter that is just as forgiving as the original OZ.1i, but with a much more traditional look.
It doesn't matter where the shaft goes. It matters where the ball goes.
We love all our putters. Whether they have the shaft in the heel or in the center, for us it's all about finding the LAB that helps you hole more putts. And regardless of where the shaft is located, every putter we make has a Balanced Lie Angle.
The OZ.1 can do amazing things other putters can't thanks to Lie Angle Balance, or LAB for short. Lie Angle Balance gives every golfer the ability to consistently repeat the putting stroke with much less effort than other putters. And it does this by eliminating twist.
We know... it sounds funny. Users of this putter often spend the first few holes listening to criticism about their putter's appearance. And as the putts continue to sink, they spend the rest of the round answering questions from their teammates about why it works so well.
Grip
PRESS PISTOL 2 DEGREES
We've reached the point where we can try new things, and the traditional pistol grip was at the top of our list. So, if you like the traditional pistol grip, you'll love the Press Pistol 2 Degree.
We've reached the point where we can try new things, and the traditional pistol grip was at the top of our list. So, if you like the traditional pistol grip, you'll love the Press Pistol 2 Degree.
The lower portion of the Press Pistol 2-Degree grip is modeled after our original Press OG putter grip. Many people love the feel of that grip, but we know its elliptical shape isn't for everyone. So we've changed it to a pistol shape that will feel more familiar to most golfers.
In terms of inclination, the Press Pistol 2 Degree is our tweaker... not as lean as our Press II 3 Degree and a little leaner than our Press II 1.5 Degree. But you won't notice much difference. The deciding factor for you should be the shape.
