Why should you use a broomstick with Lie Angle Balance? The simple answer is that L.A.B. Golf is one of the few companies that makes long putters, and when it comes to custom options, we’re way ahead of the curve.

Before we pat ourselves on the back, you should know that many people at our company swear by their broomsticks. Are we long putter freedom fighters? Maybe. Obsessed with our putting? Definitely. As the golf nerds we are, we’ve always believed that if we made cool stuff we’d want to play, others would probably want to play it, too.
The purpose of a broomstick putter is to remove a variable from putting. Whether a broomstick putter is anchored to the upper body (now outlawed by the Rules of Golf) or held a safe distance from the upper body (totally legal), the idea is that swinging a putter on a more vertical plane allows for a more linear motion, and thus consistent putting.

Lie Angle Balance makes broomstick putters better because it removes yet another variable: putter head rotation. Rotation is not some esoteric variable that only matters to the world’s best golfers. You’ve heard this before. With putters that have rotation, you have to grip the putter harder than you should to keep the head from rotating during the swing. Some days, golfers exert more pressure than others. And that’s why rotation can mess up your stroke.

Yesterday, you holed a few putts. Today, you pushed a few. You didn’t feel like you did anything different… and you didn’t. The only difference was the relationship to rotation and milliseconds of time.

With a L.A.B. Golf putter, you won’t be trying to keep the putter squared because there’s no putter head rotation. All you have to do is let the putter head stay squared. And that’s a huge difference.

Grip our broomsticks however you want. You can use a claw grip with your lower hand, or you can point your lower hand down the target line. You can make your stroke with your shoulders, or you can use a pistol stroke. All of these methods have been used effectively to win major golf tournaments around the world.

No matter how you putt, a Lie Angle Balanced broomstick will make putting easier. All you have to do is hold the putter lightly and let it swing. It’s programmed to roll the ball exactly where you’re aiming.

Zero Torque, Zero Compromises. MEZZ.1 Stock makes it easy for any golfer to take advantage of Lie Angle Balance. It looks more or less like a normal putter. But it actually helps you hole more putts.
