Ping Golf logo

With the addition of two grind types and new loft offerings, the S159 wedges represent our most versatile wedge line to date, significantly improving the performance of previous ones and expanding your fitting options. Extensive testing with PING tour players has helped create wedges that golfers of all abilities will enjoy.
The 8620 carbon steel head has an eye-pleasing shape with a squarer leading edge, especially advantageous on full shots. An elastomer insert behind the face contributes to a soft, responsive feel.
At address, the compact head features an improved hosel transition with constant offset that blends seamlessly with the new Blueprint S and T irons.
The wheel-cut grooves are precision milled to varying sizes, depending on the loft. The 54 to 62 degree options feature closer-spaced MicroMax grooves. The 46 to 52 degree wedges have a 20 degree sidewall, milled to maximize groove volume for greater control on full shots.
Combined with the friction-adding face, the S159 wedges offer launch angle and spin control for a short game that will lower your score.

Grind “H” or Half-Moon : A shot-saving option for players with more vertical attack angles who like to work with the grip and play with versatility. Works best in soft ground conditions. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°

Grind "B" : For a shallow attack angle and neutral face positioning. The low bounce design keeps the leading edge of the wedge low when positioning the square face, providing forgiveness across the width of the sole to deliver score-lowering performance in harder ground conditions. Available in 58°, 60°

Grind “T” : Our most versatile option, allowing players to manipulate the face to make accurate shots around the greens. Ideal for medium to compact turf conditions. We added a 62 degree at the request of our tour pros for added versatility. Available in 58°, 60°, 62° (new)

Grind "W" : maximum tolerance on the turf. It adapts better to a more vertical attack angle. Suitable for players looking for forgiveness in a special wedge. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°

Grind “E” or Eye2 : Continues to be the ultimate bunker club, carrying on a 40-year tradition of helping golfers get up-and-down from the sand. Featuring a relatively low bounce, it is suitable for squared or slightly open shots. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°

Grind "S" : Suitable for a wide variety of conditions and techniques. Designed with ample bounce in the midsection to play full shots, it offers versatility on the green thanks to the milling in the back. The new 48° option helps you have a consistent gap to integrate with your irons. Available in 46°, 48° (new), 50°, 52°, 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°
