Ping Golf logo
A powerful new design engineered with a forged maraging steel face dramatically increases speed and distance while providing a pleasant feel and sound. All contained in a compact shape, the favorite of good players, designed to increase tolerance for error and make long shots that stop on the green.
Exploded profile split

Forged maraging steel face

The strength of variable thickness maraging steel allows for a thinner, more dynamic face structure with a 17-4 stainless steel inner sole in the body to increase flex and achieve faster, higher shots with consistency in the result.

Tungsten weights

Tungsten weights and shaft tip combine with a dynamic multi-level face structure to expand perimeter weight distribution while preserving ball speed through increased face deflection for increased distance and improved accuracy.

Pleasant Sound and Touch

A polymer is precisely injected within the face to improve feel and sound without interfering with the face's deflection, the source of its increased ball speed.

face Address shaft

Micromax grooves

A precision-milled groove pattern allows for tighter spacing and geometry that results in an average of four extra grooves to reduce flier in the short irons and preserve spin in the long irons for greater control and consistency.

Favorite style

Blade length and offset with a modest top line create a clean, compact profile favored by the most demanding players. The hydropearl 2.0 finish repels water to ensure predictable and consistent performance in wet and dry conditions.

Shaft Stock

The Project X IO steel shaft is lightweight, offering medium trajectory and spin, a good fit for players with a moderate swing time. The PING Alta CB Slate graphite option offers a high launch angle with stability and consistent touch.

Notes
  1. These specifications may vary due to manufacturing tolerances
  2. Power Spec Loft: An option for players who want to increase the distance they cover with their irons or decrease the spin to obtain the desired trajectory. Power Spec is a loft configuration designed to give more power but maintain the integrity of the club design.
  3. Retro Spec Loft: a more classic loft option where distance is not the most important aspect but precision and high trajectory are preferred to stop the ball better.
  4. Club bounces may vary slightly with non-standard loft configurations.
  5. Lie calculated based on black point and standard length.
  6. Swingweights for graphite clubs are 2 to 3 points lighter than listed depending on the flex of the shaft.
  7. Available swingweights depend on the shaft and grip combination you choose.

SHAFT

PING offers a variety of steel and graphite flex options to meet your needs and preferences. Choosing the right flex for your swing will help you achieve greater distance and accuracy on every shot. Typically players with a fast swing want stiffer shafts to keep the ball trajectory lower, while players with slower swings prefer more flexible shafts to obtain a higher ball trajectory.
The choice between steel or graphite is usually based on weight and feel preferences. Those who prefer greater lightness and a softer touch will prefer graphite, on the contrary they will opt for steel.
We recommend having a fitting session to choose the most suitable shaft for you. Whether light with a high launch angle or stiff with a low trajectory, a PING certified fitter like Mulligan will surely find the shaft that will bring consistency to your game.
