HL (HIGH LAUNCH) VERSION OF THE G430 MAX AND SFT WITH LIGHTER HEAD, SHAFT AND GRIP FOR PLAYERS WITH A LOW SWING SPEED.

It may be that the Fw you are playing is too heavy, meaning you are not generating enough clubhead and ball speed to hit the ball as consistently as you would like. Introducing the G430 HL (High Launch) version, a new complete custom option for golfers with slower swing speeds. Custom designed with lighter head, shaft and grip weights, the overall system is lighter, so you'll swing faster and generate more ball speed for higher, longer shots.
The MAX and SFT HL fairways rely on a 5.5 gram aluminum back weight, Alta Quick shaft and lighter grip for lighter head and swing weights, making them easy-to-swing alternatives that will have you hitting more greens than ever before .

Crown Face

Carbonfly Wrap

The Carbonfly Wrap is a lightweight composite crown that wraps around the heel and toe sections, saving weight to lower the center of gravity and increase ball speed and MOI.

Facewrap Technology

The variable-thickness, high-strength maraging steel face wraps the sole and crown, and is thin to flex more, generating greater ball speed with a higher launch angle for greater distance.

profile Hosel

Spinsistency

A variable roll radius creates less loft low on the face to improve performance (especially on shots taken low) while reducing spin to increase ball speed for greater distance off the maraging steel face.

Loft Rule, Lie

Trajectory Tuning 2.0 uses a lightweight, aerodynamic sleeve that provides eight positions to customize your trajectory for maximum distance and accuracy.

High Launch

Tuning Chart

G430 High Launch(HL)

In testing, golfers with slower swing speeds gained an average of nine yards off the tee thanks to the increased ball speed generated by the HL version's lighter system weight (11g back weight, PING ALTA Quick shaft and Lamkin UTx grips). Only available in MAX and SFT

Trajectory Tuning Chart

The lightweight 8-position hosel allows adjustments for loft (±1.5°) and lie (up to 3° flatter than standard) to further fine-tune ball flight for the best results.

Shaft Shaft

Optional shafts

The Project X Hzrdus Smoke Red RDX provides a higher launch angle, the Mitsubishi Kai'Li White lower.

Shaft Ping

The PING ALTA CB Black offers a medium-high launch angle, the PING Tour 2.0 Chrome medium and the PING Tour 2.0 Black promotes the lowest trajectory. The HIGH PING Quick is for slower swings.

NOTE

  • Design specifications may vary due to manufacturing tolerances
  • The standard swingweight is based on the ALTA CB Black Stiff shaft
  • The standard swingweight for the MAX HL (High Launch) with the ALTA Quick shaft is C8 in the 35 and C9 in the 45
  • Achievable swingweights depend on shaft and grip combinations
  • Available in left- and right-handed models.

To get the most distance from your driver, you absolutely must optimize launch angle and ball spin by selecting the right loft and shaft flex for your swing. Slower speed golfers typically need higher lofted drivers and more flexible shafts to achieve optimal ball launch conditions. On the contrary, players with a high swing speed need drivers with lower lofts and stiffer shafts. We recommend that you experiment to use the shaft best suited to your characteristics to play your best golf. A Ping Certified Fitter like MULLIGAN can help you find the shaft that will bring consistency to your game.

PING offers a variety of grip sizes and styles to accommodate different hand sizes and texture preferences. Because grip size influences wrist action and therefore the direction of shots, it is commonly used by fitters to influence ball flight.

PING grips are color coded and available in six different diameters; they can be further customized with turns of ribbon according to your needs. Once the neutral grip color code has been determined based on hand measurements, golfers can consider smaller diameter grips to help control fade and slice, or larger diameter grips to help control draw and hooks.

Lamkin UTx Lite (HL version only)

Grip

Color Code UTx Lite allows you to experience the benefits of the UTx model while still meeting a tight, light tolerance for overall swingweight. UTx provides a secure and comfortable connection to the stick with maximum sensitivity and feedback in all weather conditions.
