Approach G80 offers different training and game modes. It offers the ability to play virtual matches on any of more than 41,000 international courses pre-loaded with full-color CourseView maps.

The warm-up mode provides intuitive feedback such as clubhead speed, ball speed, smash factor, swing tempo and also processes shot distance. Use this data to improve the accuracy of your shots. Tempo training allows you to evaluate which backswing and downswing tempos are best for you and provides immediate feedback. You can challenge a friend on the driving range, participate in a tournament against other players from around the world or try to beat your personal best. To develop accuracy and consistency, training helps you focus on drives, short games or the entire course.

Use it on every hole

On the fairway, the launch monitor measures the distance of shots. For easy access during gameplay simply press the quick access radar button to open the launch monitor functionality. Additionally, it features the useful Aim for Target feature, which allows you to tap anywhere on the screen to view the precise distance to that point — fairway, hazard, to any point on the green. It can also be used as a digital score card with multiple shot calculation options with settable handicaps. Periodic golf course map updates are automatically sent to your device.

Garmin Approach G80 Hole View

PlaysLike distance provides the distances to reach the hole, taking into account the differences in level of the course. It is easily deactivated during tournaments or competitions. The PinPointer function instead shows the position of the green in blind shots and Green View allows you to have an enlarged image of the green with greater details, you can also set the position of the flag on the day. Large Numbers mode increases the font, making it easier to read distance numbers from any point on your route.
